Saumur

In the heart of the valley of the Loire castles, classified as World Heritage by Unesco, Saumur inevitably arouses emotion. Perched on the hillside, its fairy-tale castle has watched over the city at its feet for more than 1000 years. The Loire, below, has imprinted its rhythm, an immutable lullaby, on the territory. It's up to everyone to imagine their route, fun or connoisseur, to discover all the facets of Saumur.

Day 1

10 a.m. – 11 a.m. : Start this day by discovering the town of Saumur. 2 possible options: The vintage jumpsuit to live a unique and very friendly experience. The little tourist train of Saumur for an unmissable ride.
11:30 – 12:30 : Then to know everything about the secrets of Bubble Houses, stop in one of our wine cellars.
For lunch, opt for a restaurant in the city center and then stroll through the old quarters of Saumur.
15–16 pm : Go up to Saumur castle from where you will have a breathtaking view of the city, the Loire, then visit its museum.
17 h : And for this end of the day, enjoy a moment of rest in the Puygirault gardens.
19h : Book your dinner in a cave restaurant. Fouées, galipettes... you can discover some of our specialties.

Day 2

10h - 11h : The next day, be sure to visit the unmissable school of Cadre noir of Saumur.
11h30 - 12h30 : Discover the last artisanal distillery of the Loire Valley "the Combier Distillery" and taste its specialties. For lunch, take advantage of the many terraces on offer to continue your gourmet discovery.
14 a.m. – 15 a.m. : After a gourmet break, let yourself be carried away during a stroll on the Loire. You will have another point of view on the city.
15:30 p.m. – 17 p.m. : And to end this day, depending on the weather, here are 2 options:
- A stone's throw from the town centre, stop off at the Millocheau nautical base (swimming, children's games, etc.).
- Take refuge in the troglodytes of Stone and Light, Mushroom Museum or discover one of our museums: Museum of the Armored, Museum of the Cavalry ou Motor Museum.
