From the Château de Saumur, take the rue des Moulins which overlooks the Loire. There were almost 20 mills on this hillside at the start of the 30th century! You quickly arrive at the edge of the parcels of vines in the Saumur-Champigny appellation, between Saumur and Dampierre-sur-Loire.
