Day 1

Discover the historic districts of Saumur in complete freedom

Visit the historic heart of the city on foot with your smartphone, several connected routes are offered using the Baludik application:

Visit the Château de Saumur

Dominating the city, the Château de Saumur is the municipal museum. It houses the “Decorative Arts” Collection on the 1st floor, and the Horse Collection on the 2nd floor.

Temporary exhibitions and regular events punctuate the life of the castle.

You will also appreciate the site for its exteriors and the views over the city and the Loire.

Day 2

Set off on the roads of Saumur Val de Loire by bike

Downtown, rent a bike classic or electrically assisted for the day.

By using public transport, and particularly tourist line between July 8 and August 31 (in TAD, only from Monday to Saturday)

Mandatory reservation

10h : departure from Saumur, towards Fontevraud l’Abbaye

Visit to the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud. Lunch in one of the restaurants in the Abbey or the village.

In the afternoon, visit the Abbey Museum of Modern Art

16h : departure by bus from Fontevraud and return to Saumur.
