“Buried Emotions” by Anna-Eva Berge

+ 1 date(s)

“Buried Emotions” is a new work to be discovered in the Ackerman cellars in Saumur.

From now on, for a period of three years, visitors can discover within the Ackerman cellars a new unique artistic installation created by the entity AILO (Atelier d'Immersion Lumineuse et Obscure) pronounced like the word hello, hides the artist visual artist Anna-Eva Berge. This autodidact, fascinated by the interactions between light and darkness, plays with contradictions - reality and reflection, invisible and palpable - to engage the viewer in the heart of a visual and sensory experience. Using materials such as mirrors or steel, Anna-Eva Berge creates astonishing volumes whose reflective surfaces absorb and reveal the luminous flux. Geometry becomes light and plunges the viewer into the very heart of the artistic installations. The sound universe, added by his companion Fabrice Leroux, multimedia artist, accentuates the sensations caused by the immersive work. Acoustic resonances and vibrations, like underground seismic waves, transport visitors to the center of the Earth from which springs light in fusion. This aura of light exploded by the multiple facets of mirrors gives rise to optical illusions reinventing the space and upsetting the perception of visitors. A distortion of reality, a promise of powerful disconnection and intense emotions.
