Every year, the Château de Baugé joins forces with the Museum of Art and History to create an original and fun exhibition with free entry.
In 2024, with the passing of the Olympic flame in Baugé-en-Anjou, a dive into the local Loire sport is offered to you: enter a fort ball circle.
True places of life and meeting, the fort ball circles are essential places of Loire culture, a practice today included in the inventory of the intangible cultural heritage of France. Local local sport, the circles meet every year for friendly challenges.
In the commune of Baugé-en-Anjou, no less than 25 circles spread over 15 communes are listed.
The exhibition proposes to present this sport in an original way, by calling on all associations likely to be interested in highlighting the fort ball. An exhibition also presented in connection with the Micro Folie, a digital museum installed in the Château in 2023.
Exhibition curators: Alexandra Bourriquet from the Associate Direction of Municipal Museums
An exhibition supported by the DRAC Pays de la Loire and the department of Maine-et-Loire.
Duration:
