The site of the troglodyte cellars of Perrières, known for its monumental dimensions and its Gothic ogival forms, lights up and comes alive with "The Mystery of the Faluns".
Through an underground scenographic walk, the visitor is transported to the underwater world present in Doué-la-Fontaine 10 million years ago. Projection of a didactic film, play of light, iridescent blue walls, ballet of fish, mirror of water... Walking through these cellars, we discover the history of the site and the geological upheavals that gave birth to it, the animals that populated it and the men who dug it. A fabulous journey between land and sea, past and present, dream and science.
To mark the site's 10th anniversary, the Mystery of the Faluns offers a new staging which presents the work of extracting the falun and the fascinating process of fossilization through luminescent constellations.
