The Rochemenier Troglo Village Museum is located in the most complete troglodyte site in the Loire Valley. From the Middle Ages, the peasants dug the courtyard of their farm like an open-air quarry, then, around it, the dwelling and the outbuildings.
Rochemenier is distinguished by its very complete troglodytic character. The visit site has 20 rooms covering 10 m²: two old underground farms with dwellings and outbuildings housing hundreds of peasant tools and furniture, an underground chapel.
Share the life of these troglodytes by immersing yourself in the sound and light atmospheres present in certain rooms.
