Our engagements
The territory project of the Saumur Val de Loire Agglomeration Community (Territorial Climate-Air-Energy Plan) has two objectives:
- limit the impact of the territory by reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions
- reduce the territory's vulnerability by adapting to climate change
Thus, the Saumur Val de Loire Tourist Office is committed to and integrates sustainable development into its strategy.
Alongside local institutional and tourist players, Saumur Val de Loire Tourisme wishes to play a decisive role in preserving the destination and invites service providers, visitors and local population to join the process.
The Local Public Company Saumur Loire Valley Tourism is committed alongside Anjou Tourisme with the community of Agglomeration Saumur Val de Loire to relay the system "Green Passport" in order to encourage the ecological transition of tourist accommodation and restaurants, and to develop slow tourism activities.
Saumur Loire Valley Tourism is marked Qualité Tourisme, guarantee of quality of our services whose satisfaction of our customers is the main objective. Classified in category 1, the City of Saumur was thus able to obtain the status of “Tourist resort”.
The Tourism Quality Mark includes a section on sustainable development in the operation of the Tourist Office.
The Saumur Val de Loire Tourist Office has obtained the mark Accessible tourism (for the four types of disability) for its offices in Saumur and Montsoreau. Disabled people are thus assured of having access to reliable and objective information concerning the accessibility of the various sites and tourist facilities in France.
CSR approach
The SPL Saumur Val de Loire Tourisme has also initiated an internal sustainable development approach for several years. Today these actions give shape to the CSR approach: Corporate Social Responsibility, which applies the notions of sustainable development at the heart of the operation of the Tourist Office. Our engagements :
- from a point of view environmental : Limit consumption by the Tourist Office Saumur Val de Loire Tourisme
- from a point of view social : Participate in the well-being and cohesion of teams
- from a point of view economic : Promoting local businesses and producers.
