In a site classified by the Heritage Foundation, stroll from garden to garden.
A garden like no other, rich in the biodiversity of plants discovered, spotted and cultivated by man. A harmonious and lively place where you can wander, rest, contemplate, learn and reflect on the relationship between man and nature, in time and space.
Patrick Genty from the Jardins du Puygirault: there is a sweet scent floating here, a subtle mixture of flowers and freshly cut herbs: to my left, a few fish are moving around in the small pond. To my right, two white butterflies engage in a fascinating ballet: lightly, they seem to be dancing, probably courting each other.
It must be said that the place lends itself to it: the colors are bright and soft at the same time, harmonious, lulled by the song of the birds who are having a great time, and the buzzing of a few busy bees.
Like a painter's painting, the garden offers a perfect balance between materials, colors, volumes and light. The plant palette is abundant, the aerial lines.
Quite naturally, we let ourselves be guided by the arrows which indicate where to continue the visit. They invite us on a journey through time, from the era of picking to the ornamental gardens of today.
It is at the bend of a small winding path that Patrick Genty, the designer of these gardens, welcomes us, all smiles under his hat, to tell us a bit of his story.
