In an incomparable environment, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Marathon de la Loire welcomes you for its 6th edition in Saumur on Sunday May 5, 2024. Three events are offered to you in a unique atmosphere with entertainment every kilometer!
The Individual Marathon
Not less than 4 runners and competitors will set off on the 42,195 km to add the most legendary event to their counter: marathon. Single loop and low gradient, the participants will embark on a tourist route on the banks of the Loire and qualifying for the French championships.
The Half Marathon:
Near 2 runners are expected for the second edition of this race. A runner who is still a bit of a novice or a real bitumen adept, the Half marathon is the ideal distance. 21,100 km to live a unique experience rich in emotions. Alone, with family or friends, the Half-Marathon is a real sporting event that arouses satisfaction and challenge.
The Combined Canoe + Running duo
A unique event in an exceptional landscape! With the Loire as their main playground, the duo will descend 12 km on the largest royal river by canoe and will end with 17 km of running.
Between the Loire, old seafaring and troglodyte villages, set off to discover an exceptional panorama and heritage!

For spectators who wish to participate only through their encouragement, a specific space is dedicated to you. All the partners and merchants are happy to welcome you to this new edition of the Marathon de la Loire. The organizers expect many of you from 8 a.m. in the village located Place de la République !
For the most curious, the running fair which extends over 2 days of exhibition opens its doors Friday at 15 p.m.. This is where the Marathon de la Loire invites its participants to come pick up their bibs, and spectators to come and explore the running village. Over 30 exhibitors are present, ranging from the world of sport to gastronomy. An event worthy of Anjou!
