An unusual visit that mixes heritage and contemporary art, nature and urbanism. A breath of fresh air and colors. The Street Art Park brings together 50 monumental works to discover with the family in the park of the Château de Candes.
Welcome to the Urban Art Museum, inaugurated in the summer of 2019 and located in the 5-hectare park of the Château de Candes-Saint-Martin!
It is a private project and a regional project whose mission is to raise public awareness of contemporary art. Through a course at the bend of the alleys, visitors can discover the different techniques of urban art. An approach that aims to question the relationship to nature, to reveal all the imagination that the landscape contains. It is also a question of encouraging emerging artists by creating new places of artistic expression and meeting the public.
Since its first edition, in 2019, around forty artists in residence have created no less than 50 works within the Park.
The Park can be visited during the day.
Since 2022, the Park has reached a new milestone by offering events with shows and concerts!
The Park will offer 4 event evenings: Tuesday July 25, August 1, 8 and 15, from 19 p.m. to 23 p.m. Detailed evening program on the website and Facebook page. See specific prices opposite.
The park will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m. from July 1 to August 31 for daytime museum visits. See prices opposite.
Street Art Parc in motion: the Street Art Parc offers weekly workshops around the arts of movement.
• Permanent workshops
- Monday from 18 p.m. to 20 p.m.: improvisation contact dance, one hour of guided exercises followed by one hour of Jam by Bertrand & Jingwen.
- Thursday from 17 p.m. to 18:15 p.m.: yoga, yoga session (Hatha/Vinyasa) by Jingwen (French/English).
- Sunday from 11 a.m. to 13 p.m.: yoga and brunch, 75-minute yoga session (Hatha/Vinyasa) followed by a brunch at Baladin facing the Loire (brunch optional) by Jingwen (French/English).
• Temporary workshops
As part of the artistic residencies, the artists will offer workshops related to their practices.
• The dome
All workshops will be offered in the giant dome measuring 10 meters in diameter in the heart of the park. A space with a professional dance floor dedicated to movement arts.
