Classified in the category of red wines, Saumur Rouge is characterized by its bright ruby purple color.
Its intense aromas of very ripe or even stewed red fruits (blackcurrants, raspberries, wild strawberries) and violets go perfectly with poultry, game, but also fish such as tuna or pike-perch, not to mention most cheeses. Both very flexible and very dense in the mouth, it seduces with its balanced, its lightness et the finesse of its tannins.
It should be consumed within 10 years, depending on the vintage, and served at a temperature between 12 and 15 ° C depending on the age of the wine.
